LPB Bank supports the European Olympiad of Experimental Science
14.04.2023.

To stimulate interest in natural science in secondary school pupils, the European Olympiad of Experimental Science (EOES) for 15–17-year-olds is held annually across more than 20 European countries. Latvia has participated in the EOES for more than 15 years with good results. The Rīga Stradiņš University organises the Olympiad in Latvia in cooperation with the National Centre for Education.

LPB Bank is proud to support the European Olympiad of Experimental Science. As a bank that values education and student excellence, we recognize the importance of events like the EOES in promoting education and helping young people pursue careers in science and technology. We believe that supporting the EOES and similar events benefits more than just the students who participate – it also helps promote general scientific literacy and innovation in our society.

The Olympiad will take place from 29 April to 5 May 2023 and will involve around 250 participants. The tasks selected for the Olympiad will be complex, problem-oriented, and based mainly on experimental and practical work in biology, chemistry, and physics, with secondary emphasis on mathematics, information technology, environmental sciences, and more. Various activities are planned during the time between the competitions that will acquaint guests with Riga, our local culture and traditions, and the latest technologies from Latvia.

Please read the olympiad programme and support the Rīga Stradiņš University Foundation if you share these values.
